Renting a car at Marrakech-Menara airport: the guide
Marrakech-Menara airport is only a few kilometres from the centre, about fifteen minutes by car. Picking up your car on arrival saves you the taxi and lets you head straight to your hotel, riad or the road.
Documents to bring
- Your valid driving licence.
- An ID card or your passport.
- Your reservation number. Add your flight number in the form too, it helps us prepare the handover.
The minimum age depends on the car, between 20 and 25. It is shown on each car page.
Deposit or full coverage insurance
At WadCar, protection is compulsory and you pick one of two options. Either a 500 € deposit, taken at pickup and refunded on return. Or full coverage insurance, 15 € a day on small cars and 25 € a day on SUVs and family cars, with no deposit. The two do not add up.
At handover
- Walk around the car and photograph any existing scratches.
- Check the fuel level: return the car in the same state.
- Keep the WhatsApp assistance number, reachable 24 hours a day.
Mileage is unlimited, the baby seat and GPS are free on request, and delivery at the airport is free.
In high season
Easter, summer, Christmas and New Year: cars go quickly. Book ahead, cancellation is free. Payment is by bank transfer, and the bank details are sent right after you book.
